Mizkif made a blunder on stream, he just leaked his revenue he made from one week of streaming on Twitch. The number is probably higher than you expect. Yet, he made a YouTube video in which he assured his community, that he makes much more than that.
Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo is one of the biggest streamers in the world. He made a name for himself on Twitch with a fast rise in popularity in 2019 and being one of the biggest streamers in the world in 2022. He lost a lot of his traction following two serious controversies regarding sexual assault and racism and left the well-known streaming-group OTK afterward.
He returned to streaming after a pause in March and has been quite active since, although not getting the high numbers he once achieved. But still, he can make a really good living from streaming, as his weekly Twitch income – that he leaked himself – shows.
Mizkif Accidentally Leaks Staggering Revenue He Made In One Week
During a stream on September 11, Miz was "just chatting", when things took a strange turn. There had been a lot of interactions in the stream, including a lot of paid subscriptions and donations. He wanted to take a look and show his stream chat, how many active subscribers he made during this stream. As he started streaming his Twitch Dashboard, he immediately went back into the full-cam mode. But the damage was done, and the clips had been made.
In that clip, you could briefly see his earnings from the last week he streamed on Twitch. In this sole week, he made $13,168.32. And yet this number might just be a small percentage of his real income in that one week. These $13k “only” include revenue from subscriptions, bits, and ads he did on stream. Donations, revenue from his other socials and money from his sponsors aren't included in this number.
After leaking his earnings, he commented “I just showed my revenue”, before giving off a nervous giggle. His streaming partner couldn't hold her laughter in.
Later on, he quote-tweeted a screenshot of his leaked earnings, writing:

This tweet shows, that he doesn't take himself too serious, which fits quite well with his persona. He recently published a video on YouTube talking about the mishap. He stated, that the leaked revenue is from a bad week on Twitch, since he didn't stream as long as he usually does. According to him, he makes $20-25k in a normal week on Twitch.
From the $80 grand he makes a month, more than half of it comes down to ad revenue and Twitch Turbo. If you don't know, Twitch Turbo is a monthly subscription to Twitch themselves, which allows users to enjoy ad-free streams everywhere. It's like a sub for every streamer, but you don't get the emotes. Streamers, which would make less money in ad revenue since fewer people are watching their ads due to Turbo, get a compensation from Twitch themselves. In Mizkif's case, $11k in the last month.
Further on, he talks about how much money he really makes a month. That $80-$100 thousand he makes off of Twitch is roughly 40-50% of his income, with sponsorships and brand deals accumulating for most of the rest.
He elaborates on his Tweet in the latter part of the video, saying that the “Top-Streamers” really don't need your subscriptions and donations, since they are making a ton of money through ads and sponsors alone. Watching the most popular streamers is – most of the time – just enough for them, as far as financial support goes.
So if you still want to support a streamer, Miz recommends you leave your sub at a small-sized creator, since your sub there can make a real difference.
