Honkai Star Rail: Upcoming Character Banners – Leaks & Reveals

In Honkai Star Rail, you can choose between several free 4-Star characters and build a fantastic team to progress through the story. However, if you played for quite some time, you will gather a good amount of Stellar Jades as quest rewards or when leveling up your roster. You can use these Stellar Jades to wish on the Warp Banner and have a chance to get a limited 5-Star character.

In the following, the next three banner line ups will be revealed. At the end of the article, you can find super exciting news and leaked characters, who might make it into the game in the far future!

Honkai Star Rail: Upcoming Characters

The current limited 5-Star character is Jingliu.She once was the sword master of the Xianzhou Luofu, as well as Jing Yuan's mentor. However, she became possessed by Mara at a pretty younge age, which made her lose her mind and attack her loved ones in the very end.

Jingliu's banner is up during the entire first phase of 1.4. As already mentioned, she is a limited 5-Star character, who follows the path of The Destruction and deals Ice damage. Her banner starts on October 11 and ends on October 27.

In the Leaked Character section you'll find the ability rundowns of many upcoming units, uncluding the upcoming Imaginary Trailblazer!

Honkai Star Rail: Leaked Upcoming Characters For Banner 1.4 And Beyond

Note that Honkai Star Rail follows the same update pattern as Genshin Impact does.

The ongoing first half of version 1.4 features Jingliu, and will end on October 27. Next up, phase two of version 1.4 is already waiting around the corner, featuring Topaz, starting on October 28.

Jingliu

Jingliu is a former swords master of the Cloud Knights and belongs to the Xianzhou. Jing Yuan was her protégé until she was corrupted with Mara. Her student defeated her and now it seems like she is ready for a comeback!

Jingliu Ability Rundown

Basic ATK / Transcendent Flash: Feathered Frost

• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy and gains 2 stacks of New Moon.

Skill / Transcendent Flash: Moonlit River

• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy as well as to surrounding ones. Consumes 2 stacks of Moonlight.

Ultimate / Precipitous Blossoms, Fleeting as Stellar Dreams

• If Jingliu is in a Transcendence state, gain 2 stacks of Moonlight after each attack. If not, gain 2 stacks of New Moon instead.
• Deals Ice DMG to one enemy and the surrounding enemies.

Talent / Crescent Transmigressions

• When Jingliu has 4 stacks of New Moon, she enters the Transcendence state and sacrifices her own and her teammates’ HP to increase her ATK.
• In the Transcendence state, New Moon turns into Moonlight and Jingliu gains the new skill, Moonlit River.

Technique / Innermost Nature

• At the beginning of a battle, Jingliu gains 2 stacks of New Moon.

Jingliu's Light Cone is called "This Body is a Sword" and increases the wearer’s Skill DMG by X%. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, immediately restores X Energy and increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by X%.

Topaz

• 5-Star
• Fire / THE HUNT

We do don't know much about Topaz right now, however, she can be found on a 4-Star Light Cone already! She will be featured in version 1.4 of Honkai Star Rail. Unfortunately we do not know if she'll be in the first or second half.

Topaz Ability Rundown

Basic ATK / Deficit ...

• Deal Fire DMG equal to X% of Topaz' ATK to a single enemy.

Skill / Difficulty Paying?

• Marks a single target with [effect]. Follow-up attacks against said enemies deal X% more DMG.
• Only one enemy at the time can be under [effect]. If the marked enemy dies, Topaz marks another random target.
• Zhang Zhang (her summon) deals Fire DMG equal to X% of Topaz' ATK, counts as follow-up attack.

Ultimate / Turn a Profit

• Zhang Zhang (her summon) enters into the state of "Astonishing Increase" and its SPD increases by X, CRIT rate by X% and damage multiplier by X%.
• Zhang Zhang attacks attacks twice until "Astonishing Increase" ends.

Talent / Pig Market?!

• When the battle begins, summon Zhang Zhang. Zhang Zhang starts with a SPD of X, when it attacks, it continues with a follow-up attack and deals Fire DMG equal to X% Topaz' ATK.
• When Topaz becomes unable to battle, Zhang Zhanh disappears.

Technique / Explicit Subsidy

• When Topaz enters battle, she signals Zhang Zhang fo follow suit. Zhang Zhang will automatically find Basic Treasures and Trotters within a certain range.
• When this Technique is used, Topaz recovers X points of energy after Zhang Zhangs first attack.

Topaz's Light Cone will be called "Annoyed and Happy" and increases Crit DMG of the wearer and damage dealt by follow-up attacks. After the wearer casts an attack, if it hits an enemy target that was previously hit in their previous attack, they will gain one layer of "Vitality Food". If it hits another enemy, the stack of "Vitality Food" will drop. Each stack of "Vitality Food" will increase the wearer’s ATK, and the effect can be stacked up a couple of times.

Guinaifen

• 4-Star
• Fire / THE NIHILITY

Guinaifen is an acrobatic street performer who lives on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is known for her fun performances featuring her puppies. She will be featured on the second banner in version 1.4!

Guinaifen Ability Rundown

Basic ATK / A Full House of Splits

• Deals X% of Guinaifen’s ATK as Fire DMG to a target enemy.

Enhanced Basic ATK / A Good Start

• Deals X% of Guinaifen’s ATK as Fire DMG to a single enemy. If the target is inflicted with burn will trigger both the burn on the target and burn DMG on adjacent enemies equal to Guinaifen’s talent scaling.

Skill / A Show For You

• Deals X% of Guinaifen’s ATK as Fire DMG to all enemies on the field.

Ultimate / In Ancient Times, Gentlemen Raised Artists

• When Guinaifen casts a Basic ATK, Skill, Ultimate, and Technique, it will cause the target to fall into the "Fire Swallowing" state for 2 turns.
• When a target in the "Fire Swallowing" state suffers Fire DMG, there is a X% base chance that it will apply burn and cleanse the "Fire Swallowing" state.
• Enemies with Burn will receive DoT DMG equal to X% of Guinaifen’s ATK at the beginning of each turn for X turns.

Talent / Margine Pole

• When Guinaifen casts a skill, it deals DMG equivalent of X% of her Basic ATK DMG on one random adjacent target of the chosen enemy target.

Technique / Juggling Tricks

• Attack enemies immediately and deals X% of Guinaifen’s ATK as Fire DMG to random enemies, dealing additional X% DMG afterwards.

Huo Huo is a apprentice judge at the Ten-Lords Commision on the Xianzhou Luofu. She is a fox-girl and is possessed by Wubbaboo. She is rather timid and is afraid of all kinds of scary looking things. Yet her job is capturing evil spirits.

HuoHuo Ability Rundown

Skill / Soul Talisman: Life-saving Protection

• Restores Energy for all party members except for Huo Huo herself based on their Enery cost.
  Additionally increases all party members ATK by X%.

Talent / Attachment

• After casting a Skill, Huo Huo obtains the "Lives of the sacrifice" effect.
  When Huo Huo has "Lives of the sacrifices", all party members will restore HP based on X% + X of Huo Huo's ATK at the start of each turn.
• After casting an Ultimate, Huo Huo obtains the "Spiritual Experience" effect.
• When Huo Huo has "Spiritual Experience", all party members will restore Energy based on X% of their Energy cost at the start of each turn.

• Huo Huo intimidates the surrounding enemies, causing them to fall into the "Psionic Dispersion" state.
• Enemies affected by said state, will flee away on the opposite direction from Huo Huo for X seconds.

Argenti

Argenti is a Knight of Beauty and is fighting for the Aeon Idrila. Among the legions of Idrila's followers, the most infatuated with classical beauty formed the Knights of Beauty. They ride their faithful and dexterous mounts and are extremely self-disciplined, which makes them the most loyal warriors known to mankind.

Argenti Ability Rundown

Skill / Justice Always Prevails

• Deal X% Physical DMG to all enemies based on Argenti's ATK.

• Consumes energy to deal Physical DMG to all enemies based on Argenti's ATK.
  → consume either 100% or 200% of the Energy Cap.
• If 200% of the Energy Cap is used, the Ultimate DMG increases and deals 6 additional ATK to enemies at random.

Talent / Neutral Grey

• When hitting enemies with Basic ATK, Skills, or Ultimate, restore 5 Energy and gain 1 stack of “Self-Cultivateion,” which increases Argenti's CRIT Rate by a certain percentage. This effect can stack up to 10 times.

Technique / Gaze of Beauty

• Stuns enemies for 8 sec.

Hanya

Hanya is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission on the Xianzhou Luofu. Other than that, there is not much information on Hanya.

• Deal Physical DMG equal to X% of Hanya's ATK to a single target after which "Burden" will be applied.
• "Burden" will automatically release 3 times after triggering the Talent's skill point recovery, which lasts for X turns.

Ultimate / ?

• Increases an ally's Speed, the Speed increase is equal to X% of Hanya's Speed.
• Additionally, increases their ATK, the ATK bonus is equal to X% of Hanya's ATK, this effect lasts for X rounds.
• At the same time, recover 1 skill point.

Talent / ?

• When an ally attacks a target afflicted with "Burden", their DMG will increase by X%. When an ally attacks a target afflicted with "Burden", there is a X% base chance of recovering a skill point.

Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei is the 81. member of the Genius Society and one of the creators of the Simulated Universe alongside Herta, Screwllum, and Stephen Lloyd.

Ruan Mei Ability Rundown

• Deals Ice DMG equal to X% of Ruan Mei's ATK to a single enemy.

Skill / Gather, Twist, Wipe and Pick

• Increase Ruan Mei's SPD by X%, and increases Ruan Mei's allies SPD by X% which lasts for X turns.

Ultimate / Shaking Brocade Water, Not Taking off Dipped Clothes

• Buff all allies for X turns.
• The Weakness Break Efficiency of all allies buffed with the enchantment will increase X%, and when the Weakness shield of an enemy target is broken, it will be afflicted with "Broken Plum Blossoms".
  → Will be activated when the enemy target recovers Weakness Break, extending the target's Weakness Break and delaying the action, and deal ice damage equal to X% of Ruan Mei's ATK.
  → "Broken Plum Blossoms" cannot be afflicted onto an enemy target before they recover from Weakness Break.

Talent / Classifying Screw

• When an ally hit an enemy with Weakness Break, damage dealt will be increased by X%.
  

Technique / Caressing Cotton Robes

• After casting Technique, all allies' ATK will increase at the start of the next battle, the increase is equal to X% of Ruan Mei's ATK, and lasts for X turns.

Ruan Mei's Light Cone will be called X and increases the wearer's ATK by X%. After casting a skill, if the SPD of an ally is over 100, every X points of which it exceeds over, will increase their DMG by X%.

Screwllum

The Mechanical Aristocrat Screwllum I, or simply known as Screwllum, is the 76. member of the Genius Society. Next to that, he is living on the Planet "Screwllum", which he is the ruler of. We could get a pretty good look at him, during the Starhunt Game event, where he was a part of.

Screwllum Ability Rundown

Screwllum's Light Cones will be called X and increases the wearers CRIT rate by X%. When the wearer deals damage to an enemy afflicted with debuffs, the DMG dealt will be increased by X%.

Honkai Star Rail: Leaked Characters

There are even some leaked characters, that could potentially make it into to game in the very far future. All the information on this list is not confirmed so take them with a big grain of salt!

Xueyi

• 4-Star
• Quantum / DESTRUCTION

Xueyi is one of the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission on the Xianzhou Luofu. Since she used to be dead for several years, she uses a puppet to fulfill her mission.

Xueyi Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / ?

• Deal Quantum DMG equal to X% of Xueyi's ATK to a single enemy.
  

Skill / ?

• Xueyi deals Quantum DMG to a specific enemy equal to X% of her ATK, and to nearby enemies equal to X% of her ATK.

Ultimate / ?

• Xueyi deals Quantum DMG equal to X% or her attack to a specific enemy, which can ignore the enemy’s weak points and reduce their tenacity. Each layer of “Vendetta” obtained during this ATK increases the DMG dealt by X%, up to a maximum increase of X%.

Talent / ?

• When Xueyi deals tenacity damage to an enemy, she gains up to 6 layers of “Vendetta". When it reaches the maximum, Xueyi immediately launches an additional attack against the enemy, dealing three instances of Quantum DMG to a random enemy equal to X% of her ATK. If the target’s weak point is Quantum damage, the damage dealt by this attack will be increased by X%.

Technique / ?

• Xueyi immediately attacks a random enemy, dealing Quantum DMG equal to X% of her ATK to all enemies after entering battle.

Trailblazer

The Trailblazer is the main character from the game and most likly the third path to chose from. With the Harmony path the character is moving into a even greater support role as before.

Passive Part 1 / ?

• .When the Blessed ally uses a skill on an enemy the Trailblazer immediately deals DMG to that enemy based on the Trailblazer's ATK. This DMG follows the element type of the Blessed ally and deals Toughness DMG of that type. / ?

Passive Part 2 / ?

• When the Blessed ally breaks enemy's weakness, the Trailblazer deals DMG to that enemy based on 250 % of the enemy's toughness. The DMG formula is: Damage = 2.5 * Enemy Toughness * Weakness-Break Bass DMG / ?

Passive Part 3 / ?

• When an enemy's weakness is broken, they will receive a Special Toughness Bar whose length scales with their original Toughness. The Speical Bar can be reduced just like the ordinary bar but replenishes itself instantly upon breaking. When the Special Bar is broken, the enemy receives the same Break DMG and Break Effects (i.e. Frozen, Bleed). When the enemy recovers from state, the Special Bar will be removed

Traces Abilities / ?

1. When the Blessed ally breaks an enemy's weakness the Break DMG and Break Effect (i.e. Frozen, Bleed) will be doubled

Black Swan

Black Swan is a pretty mysterious lady, who seems to be really familiar with the Honkai Star Rail gods. In one of the first trailers HoYoverse released, we could see her sitting on a huge table while she is playing around with some tarot cards.

Black Swan Ability Rundown

Basic ATK / ?

• Deal Wind DMG equal to X% of Black Swan's ATK to a single enemy.

Skill / ?

• Deals Wind DMG equal to X% of Black Swan's ATK to a designated enemy and its adjacent targets with a 100% base chance to reduce the defense of each enemy by X% for X turns.

Ultimate / ?

• Deals Wind DMG equal to X% of Black Swan's ATK to the entire enemy team and strengthens the target's [Fate Card] effect for X turns. Strengthened [Fate Card] reduces the target's effect resistance by X% and can be considered as any DoT type negative status.
• The enhanced [Fate Card] does not reset its level after the target deals damage at the beginning of its turn, and the effect is triggered a maximum of 1 time during the duration of the enhancement.

Talent / ?

• When an enemy target takes DMG over time, Black Swan has a X% base chance to apply [Fate Card] to the target, which can be triggered 4 times per unit per action. The target of the [Fate Card] will take wind damage equal to X% of the Black Swan's ATK at the beginning of the turn.
• [Fate Card] has a level mechanic, with an initial level of 1. Apply [Fate Card] again to a target that has already had it increases the level of [Fate Card] by 1. When [Fate Card] deals damage at the beginning of the target's turn, it has additional effects depending on the level:
  
  → Greater than or equal to level 1: Each level additionally increases damage equal to X% of Black Swan's ATK.
  
  → Greater than or equal to level 3: Deals additional damage equal to X% of the original damage to adjacent targets.
  
  → Greater than or equal to level 6: Ignores X% of the target's defense.

• After using the technique: Draw 1 Fate Crystal (physical, fire, lightning, or wind) that you do not already hold, up to a maximum of 4 Fate Crystals at the same time.
• When entering battle, Black Swan consumes all the Fate Crystal it holds, and for each one consumed, triggers a Weakness Break effect with a X% DMG multiplier on each single enemy with a corresponding attribute weakness, depending on the attribute of the consumed Fate Crystal.

Acheron

Aventurine

Is it just me, or does this guy give off a pretty serious yet playful vibe? Since we have no clue what his lore may be right now, we can just guess who Aventurine is and what role he will play within the Honkai Star Rail Universe!

However, his hat is hella stylish!

Aventurine Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / ?

• Deals X% of Aventurine's DEF as Imaginary DMG to an enemy target.
  

Skill / ?

• Privides all allies with an exclusive shield, which can absorb DMG equal to X% of Aventurine's DEF. The shield can come with a random suit, which lasts for X rounds.
• When he uses his skill again, it will refresh any suit except Spades, and provide all allies with increased shield value, shiel cannot absorb more than X% of Aventurine's DEF + X.

Ultimate / ?

• Randomly gain 1 to X points of energy, then deal Imaginary DMG equal to X% of Aventurine's DEF.

Talent / ?

• When allies under the exclusive shield gets attacked, Aventurine will accumulate energy, a Spades shield will accumulate X energy, any other suits will only accumulate 1 energy.
• When energy points reaches 6, Aventurine will refresh all suits of all allies and increase his own DEF by X%.

Technique / ?

• In the next battle, Aventurine receives a shield equal to X% of Aventurine's DEF, also increasing the chances of being attacked by enemy target, this lasts for X turns.

Doctor of Truth / Dr. Ratio

• Imaginary / HUNT

Argenti is a classic knight of the Order of Pure Beauty who admires the missing star goddess Idrila. She is rather uptight and honorable.

Hanabi

• 5-Star
• Quantum / HARMONY

Unfortunately, we do not know a lot about Hanabi or what role she is playing within the game, however, we do know how her kit will look like!

Hanabi Ability Rundown

X refers to the multiplication depending on the character's level.

Basic ATK / Act of the Papillion's End

• Deals Quantum DMG equal to X% of Hanabi's ATK to a single target.
  

Skill / Dreams of the Swimming Fish

• Increases an ally's HP by X% based on X% of Hanabi's ATK which lasts for X turns, and make that ally's turn move forward by X. If Hanabi casts this skill on themself, they are unable to trigger the action forward effect.
  

Ultimate / Thousand Faces of a Fool

• Regenerate X skill points for allies.
• If the number of skill points regenerate exceeds the max stacks, an additional skill point will be regenerated for every additional skill point, up to a Maximum of X additional skill points.
• When consuming skill points, the additional skill points will be prioritized. Apply [Joke] onto all allies. When an ally with [Joke] triggers Hanabi's talent, they will have an additional DMG increase of X%, this effect will last for X turns.

Talent / Sentient Beings Hundred Signs

• When an ally launches an attack, if skill points are consumed, their damage will be increased by X%, this effect will only last until the end of this turn and cannot be stacked.

Technique / Mask Master

• After casting Technique, when the next battle starts, regenerate X skill points for allies. If the regeneration of skill points exceed the max stacks, an additional skill point will be regenerated for every additional skill point.

Hanabi's Light Cone will be called X and increases the wearer's max HP by X%. The the wearer generates 1 sill point for allies, all allies' CRIT DMG by X%. This effect can be stacked X times and last for X turns.
