Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is even bigger than Breath of the Wild. If you've just started playing it, you've probably already discovered just how much of a time sink the game is. In fact, it's almost impossible to reach your actual destination without being distracted by all the tiny little details the game is offering you when making your way through Hyrule.

Your overall playtime of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will at least be about 100 hours, and even more if you're a so-called "completionist" who wants to solve every single task the game offers you. But now that you've played TotK for several days, you might wonder how many hours you've spent playing already. Here's what to do to find out.

Tears of the Kingdom is significantly longer than its predecessor Breath of the Wild. Given all the new possibilities to explore the world, as well as the new islands and the Depths, you can without a doubt dedicate a good amount of your time to the game. To find out how many hours you played already, do the following:

  • Head to the main menu / homescreen of your Nintendo Switch first by pressing the Home Button on your Switch controller
  • Select your profile picture in the upper left corner
  • On your "Profile" page, you should spot a "Play Activity" section. Here you can look up how many hours of playtime you've invested in your games.

It's important to note that at least 10 days must have passed since you started the game for it to show up on in your play activity list. So if you don't see it yet, you may have to wait a few more days.
